I had purchased some images sometime ago and they were gathering dust lol (figuratively of course since they are digis and are in my computer...). So I looked through them... and couldn't figure out what to do... the DT cards made for that challenge are with some much weirder images than what I had purchased... but I really wanted to play.... then the light bulb when off! And I had an idea! And I'm here to share it with all 14 of you my great followers ;o) (by the way thank you so much for following me on this darker journey)
So I started off with a 12 x 6 piece of black cardstock that I folded in 3. I embossed the top with my Tim Holtz texture fade embossing folder. I added the letters from Thickers - American Craft. I cut a little window in the front with my long classic rectangle.
And here's the kid colored with my copics. I used my label 4 to cut some paper from DCWV - Rockstar stack. I added a little sentiment stamped from Unity stamp company it's part of the set Music of my heart.
Love how the inside of the card is also embossed ;o) Doesn't he look good this little creepy kid?!?
Here's the inside of the card. I used my MS corner punch, I also added some flourishes from the dollar store and the sentiment was cut using my Label 19 from Spellbinder.
Here's a closer look at the sentiment that comes from Graphicat. So sorry that they are now closed. They just had the perfect sentiments for me!
So what do you think of my card?!?
I'm entering this in the following challenge Octopode Factory - Eyes
Hope you have liked my 1st post... I promise I will be back with darker stuff... lol but not today!
Hugs

Brilliant Vicky. I love those eyes poking through and the texture in the front cover. So glad youhave given in to the dark side ;-). Xx
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Love Octopode and this is a fab take on the challenge. Those eyes peeking through the slot look like he's scard out of his wits. Love the embossing too. xxD
ReplyDeleteNot dark per sé but those eyes are a bit creepy so it definitely works for the darkside. That texture on the front is amazing and I love the dies and shapes on the inside. That sentiment is really cool too.
